We are limited talent-wise, but there are too many examples of coaches coming in
with the same players and completely turning things around (for better or for worse). Also, if Nick Saban was our coach you'd suddenly see a lot of 5-star athletes think "you know what, I think I can handle that Honor Code thing for a few years."
It's not like the Navy SEALs struggle to find applicants for their grueling program. People are willing to sacrifice if there is enough of a pay-off for said sacrifice.

I'd like to see BYU drop the requirement that the HC be LDS. I get that they need someone that can understand LDS but
