I am a dog person. And I love my dog.
But I wouldn't fault the mailman using pepper spray to scare it off if, if it came outside and went after him barking and appearing aggressive.
I'm more concerned with the excessive force of police entering people's yards and then shooting their dogs, who are just defending their territory. Maybe pepper spray might've been a better response then too.
