When I was a missionary, I had one companion that liked to run in the morning.
So we ran most every day.

One street we would run down had a fenced yard with these 3 dobermans in it that would go crazy chasing us down the fence line barking. Sometimes my companion would run back and forth with them barking back at them as they chased.

On particular day he was doing that - running back and forth along the fence line egging them on - when he ran down beyond the rolling gate portion of the yard - and looked down to notice that the gate was rolled wide open. The dogs stayed on their side of the fence line - but the look on my companion's face when he realized that there was no longer a fence between him and the dogs was priceless.

He slowly backed back up the fence line until there was a fence between he and the dogs again - and then we went the other direction instead of back past the open rolling fence again. 🙂
