I agree, but what is the endgame with Independence?
Even if we get the funding and the top tier coaches, we aren't going to start competing for National Titles. Sure, its fun to beat some P5s and (hopefully) win the rivalry games on the schedule. But unless you are hanging banners, there is a feeling of emptiness to it, like nothing was actually accomplished.
