Except if BYU wins a conference title
They have an easier shot At a NY6 or playoff game. They don’t even have to go undefeated to do it.
Not that i am for joining a current conference but the OPs point of a new conference with the best players from other conferences is interesting. Could make for a NY6 invite for the winner every year and the conference being seen more like a P5. Get to know and play all the same teams every year and play for a conference title. Of course a P5 invite would trump this but if it doesn’t come by 2024 and a good TV deal could be worked out as well this might be something to consider. Of. Purse you would need to get all the other players on board.
