if by onboarding you mean bringing on new hires, the most important thing
is make sure you have a desk and a computer for them. My last job I didnt have either for about 6 weeks. It was great, because I got paid to do nothing. but it was miserable too. (govt job...)

Make it short, <2 hours. And give QUALITY company branded stuff. Don't give crap from promotional companies.
