Wrong.. It is a fact coaches cant get the players they want past admissions
Sure, the admission standards for football recruits are lower than normal BYU students, but they still have to have a higher GPA/ACT than most schools.
The admissions board will also 'judge' a kid based on if they think he can survive academically at BYU. Over the past few years BYU's APR and GSR have taken a hit by all the football players flunking out.
The admissions board has tightened its grip on who the coaches can get approved.
