A 3.9 in chemistry with an MCAT in the 515 range is hardly average at BYU.
Also, have things at BYU changed that much since I was there? I remember far more of my classes being straight percentage graded. And of those that were graded on the curve, I was typically grateful. Because had Physics 121, for example, been straight percentage graded, I probably would have received an E, instead of a B-. And O-Chem probably would have been worse.
