bought the hype and didn't make adjustments to lineups, recruiting, etc. based on expectations of a few individuals, that is a coaching issue. Aside from recruiting them initially, it's a coach's job to evaluate them once they are there, then develop them, then work to keep them. No coach can expect that a few recruits are the long term solutions when they can be lost to injury, transfer, missions, etc.
