production he could have been one of the greats. But that didn't happen. Perhaps another coaching change victim. Or perhaps its on him. The more time goes on the more i think its more coaching than players. Seems like good coaches win, often even with average players.
But he is another example to me of a guy that I had a certain expectation for to be one of the greats and it just didn't happen. It used to be that a BYU quarterback would keep improving and then by the time he got to his senior year BYU would have a great season. I think that stopped at Hax Hall. So maybe its the Max Hall curse.
