Let's be honest, you wouldn't change your view regardless of the trend.
If we see the trend go down (good news), it must mean the shutdown is working and should therefore continue.
If we see the trend continue or get worse (bad news), it must mean the current shutdown isn't enough and we must impose increasingly strict measures.
