Sad thing is I look back on residency and fellowship and think how easy it was
In a way..
Just the lack of true accountability.
It’s like when my MS3 brother said last week that he had a “really cool case” where a postpartum mom had an air embolism and coded..
I was like.. ummm..
It’s just a different world where in a lot of ways it’s pretty simple and detached.
I have a complication now it lives with me for years.. stress from admin stuff. Concern that you’re making your staff Happy. All that stuff adds up for me.
Plus my average day is busier than the busiest day I ever had as a fellow so that’s part of it.

We have this PA that works for us now that was a surgery PA for many years. Now he’s been doing internal medicine stuff

Did they do 5+ years residency, possibly a fellowship, pass written and oral boards, maintain privileges/certifications?
