I agree with BYU's stated purposes for independence football - to provide better exposure for our football program and better access to our nationwide fan base.

How is independence a blunder?

Last year, we hosted multiple PAC schools in Provo and featured road games in Tennessee, Ohio, Florida, Massachusetts, and California. We played multiple games on ABC and the ESPN networks, with viewership measures in the several millions.

Next year, we are scheduled to host multiple PAC, ACC, and American schools and to play road games in Nevada, California, Washington, Texas, and Georgia.
