We've lost five great P5 games. I note that four of those were road games. @Utah, Michigan St., @ASU, @Minnesota, and @Stanford. That's a tough schedule.
If we were to keep the rest of the schedule in place, and replace the five cancelled P5 games with Army, UConn, UMass, Liberty and NMSU what would happen if we finish the season with 10 wins and ranked in the top-25?
Would we miss the great P5 schedule? Or, would we prefer the 10-win season and top 25 ranking?
Remember, we would still host Missouri, Houston, Utah State, and San Diego State and still play Boise State and Army.
My hunch is that we would prefer the 10-win season and top-25 ranking...which would force us to re-examine our independent scheduling strategy.
