I believe overall we still are. We weren’t so good when competing against P5 opponents. BYU has been making (I’ll grant you) very slow progress but they have been making progress. This year’s team has more depth (more players with more talent) at pretty much every position.

A pandemic hit. It’s dramatically impacted their schedule this year. But who knows what’s going to happen in the next several weeks? I was just reading about an unknown pneumonia that’s been reported in Asia, that has resulted in even greater health issues.

It is entirely possible that all college football will be suspended this year. Perhaps they’ll play in the Spring but there are so many challenges with that.
