However, I note that Boise State's program, while having better win-loss records and rankings than BYU over the last decade, has still NOT lifted itself into the P5 Club...because that's not how it works.

BYU is pursuing to lift its stature in the college football landscape. We've tried that WAC + MWC route...that didn't work. We have P5-level facilities, attendance, and TV exposure. We have low-level P5 resources. But, there's no open seat at the table. So, we're now trying a different route...and hopefully have flexibility when an opportunity arises to get into the P5 club.
