Like the Mississippi St., Missouri, Arkansas, Virginia, NC State, Washington State, and Stanford and USC deals.
I would then get no more than two P5 opponents for September, including the front or back ends of deals that include later-season P5 games....even if that means fewer P5 opponents.
Start the season off with an easy game. And, act like one of the big boys that have 60K+-seat stadiums and pay teams like Toledo, NIU, and Georgia Southern to travel to Provo with no return game. (I can make the occasional exception for UMass and Liberty road games, to develop goodwill with fellow independents).
Do everything we can to play Utah State and Boise State in October and November. Try to get Hawaii on the schedule as often as we can and attempt to schedule a game in Week 0 every season - using our Hawaii exemption flexibility...or using Hawaii's flexibility...or play an opponent who is also playing at Hawaii that year.
