Our current travel ball coach does not have a kid on the team and we love it. He has been in the area for years and years. All his kids have grown and moved on. Knowing we don't have to deal with the parent drama of why is his kid this place or hitting in this spot is so nice.

He does private lessons in the area which is where a lot of the kids that play on his teams come from.

When we travel to a location that requires overnight travel he allows the families to book where ever but he always tries to avoid booking in the same hotel. He does this to avoid parents knocking on his door at night complaining. He also said he may want to drink a beer by the pool and he doesn't want the kids being there seeing it.

This next year his facility will start hosting 17 different teams between baseball and softball. He will manage all the baseball and his brother the softball. He will not coach one specific team but will have assistant coaches on the field with day to day and he will be at games. He never has parents coach or be involved with those activities. He will usually coach 3rd base and have a kid coach 1st. He said he does this so the kids can learn better base running skills, ect.

My son said this has been one of the best years he has had with being on the team because of it.
