If you're comparing it to a good ribeye, then yes, I prefer that too. The brisket meat is crappy though for cooking any
other way. It's no ribeye. This is also why I have a hard time with the recent trend to smoke tri-tips like a brisket. Sure, it's good, but a good prime tritip is excellent at medium rare. Why waste it with low and slow?
When you compare a good smoked brisket to pulled pork though, I prefer brisket.
