Our plan was to use FSBO because I wasn't interested in paying 6%+ to sell it in this market. I didn't see the point. This was the we do everything route. Do I know anything about about selling a house...NOPE. But I talk million dollar contracts weekly, how hard can this really be..IDK.

We had multiple agents call us (actually after they were searching records and saw we purchased land) and ask us what our plan was with this house.

I told them we were not sure about using an agent but when it got closer we would talk. As time got closer the market got hotter and hotter. I started realizing we really didn't need an agent. So I started looking into the FSBO option.

Of the previous agents that called us I told them our plans. Most said..cool, we'll bring people by. What are you willing to pay a buyers agent. I said...hmm..IDK, how about 2% if you make it easy. Hey that is a great deal. We'll bring people buy. The realtor mentioned in the OP called me last Friday. She lives in our hood and heard through the grapevine our house was going up.

I was talking with our loan officer last night and telling him the story from earlier in the day. He said hey I know someone that charges a flat 2% would you be willing to have him do it and take everything off your plate? Hmm...IDK, let me talk with him and we'll see.

I talked with him last night and as I shared in other post it just made sense.
