To help with numbers:

2016/17 Class Averages – 247Sports Composite

Five-star: 30 (62.3%) = 19
Four-star: 311 (23.5%) = 73
Three-star: 1,831 (6%) = 110
Two-Star: 1,949 (1.6%) = 31

So there are a lot more 3 star players in the NFL vs 5 stars *But the percentages are way different

For BYU (2008-2017 classes) those numbers are 5*: N/A, 4*: 23.1%, 3*: 1.5%, 2*/unrated: 4.2%
