It is possible. Wonder how he would do at a P5 level program.
Would they have patience with him to build his program for 4-5 years like it took at BYU? One benefit of BYU is they tend to be fairly loyal to their coaches and they give you more time than they would at most P5s. If you can't get things rolling in 3 years at most places, you are usually out of a job. It can be a bit harder to get back into P5 head coaching jobs once you have failed somewhere because it depends on timing, connections and how it went for you last time as a head coach.
