I think a lot of the comments here are speculative. What I see more likely is BYU increasing and focusing its efforts on areas of research it excels at. I think some programs, like the business programs, will eventually start PhD programs. While I don’t see BYU expanding into areas of research it is not focused on, I do see those efforts increasing in programs that already are successful.
