How about Mom and Dad donate plasma - that is $300-$400 each per month.
That would be a HUGE impact on their budget. How about a second job? How about go back to school and get a better job?
There are so many beneficial options, the list could go on forever, but few of these are a permanent sacrifice. Temporary sacrifices for long term benefit.

Naw, I got my son's Hyundai for 8k just recently, under 100k miles. This family could cut a lot more.
