In 1985 a teachers salary could buy a modest sfh in many metros. In 2021 it
Doesn’t come remotely close. This the basic point that boomers and GenX folks bizarrely cannot understand. Cost of living in housing, education, and healthcare has far outpaced growth in wages. It isn’t hard to understand this.
We need to take a hard look at what can be done make housing, education, and healthcare as affordable for the median household income in 2021 as it was in 1985.
