As a single income teacher in Utah I make close to 100k. My budget looks like:
like this (~7000 take home pay):

House Payment (mortgage, T&I, etc.) = 1600
Car Payment = 0
Student Loans = 0
Food Per Month = 600
Utilities = 200
Health Insurance = 270 (the district pitches in 100, and I pitch in 270 a month toward our 6000 max OOP HDP)
Life Insurance/Other = 50
Roth IRA contribution = 500
IRA contribution for wife = 500
Retirement = 0 (10 percent of my salary gets put into my 401k for free each month)
Fun Activities per month = 500
Tithing = 1000
Internet/Entertainment = 150
Child Care = 0 (wife stays home with 4 kids)
Total = 5370 with ~1700 leftover a month going into savings/emergency fund/investments/fun vacations

We go on a really fun vacation every year and everything is great for us. We will be needing a new car in the future which is a pain, but it won't affect us financially really because everything else is in pretty good shape. The key? My wife stays home and raises our kids and no car payment or student loan payments.
