This is a term inside the agreement itself. Why would I consider things outside
the agreement when there is a provision that speaks to this very thing.
If you have some other term or code of morality that you thinks applies, it is silly to suggest that those supersede the actual terms of an actual agreement.
Thank goodness that the terms govern otherwise we would have to understand your idiosyncratic claims of propriety.

It's not "plain wrong". Contracts have buyouts. If you pay the buyout, you fulfill the contract. That's not plain wrong
