Lol. Good luck representing clients without writing wanted provisions into an
agreement and then explaining to them that they lost out because you didn’t put actual terms to govern what you actually want and expected some non written rule to apply.
Pretty bad way to lawyer and pretty poor representation.

It's not "plain wrong". Contracts have buyouts. If you pay the buyout, you fulfill the contract. That's not plain wrong
