I saw this play out in living color. Stan, the bulldog, was the family pet in
one of my client’s home. Stan bit the owner’s wife on the arm unprovoked and she ended up in the ER for minor outpatient treatment for her injuries.
The owner and his wife really did love the dog, and couldn’t bear the thought of putting him down—yet. Then at a family gathering Stan nailed a grandson in the face. The little boy was only two years old.
Sometimes euthanasia is the best choice, painful as that is.
