You will only lose weight when Calories consumed < Calories burned. If fasting
helps you obtain that... then great. But if you're thinking the fasting in itself is somehow otherwise helping with weight loss... I believe you are wrong.

You won't lose weight if fast for 16 hours, if you have a net calorie excess during the other 8 hrs of the day. You will in fact gain weight.
