My SIL went to Devmountain and did extra stuff and got a low level starting job.
He networked and put in a lot of time and got a job and is now doing pretty well. This was around four years ago,
My son tried the online version of devmountain during COVID and did not feel he got the same support, and struggled with some parts of the training. He said no-one is his cohort got a job. I don't know the reasons, but we are out $6,500 (the discounted, online cost during COVID).
Another factor that may have some effect was that the original founder may have sold out and it has new management?

Why not take some computer programming classes in college before he makes a quick decision that he may regret later.
