that should be expected with a message board, but I often find it very amusing. I LOOOOOOOVE the PAC12 because I get to watch the Utes play lots of great teams every freaking year. My family had a riot at the USC game last year - even though we lost. Other than a throw away game at the beginning of the football season, every game is worth watching. I am hopeful that the money will make a difference and the Utes will be more competitive in the future. Getting guys like Erickson and building a ridonculous players facility were not possible in the past for financial reasons. I see the needle pointing in a positive direction with football (mostly due to recruiting upgrades) and basketball (nowhere to go but up and I really like Larry K) and that is good enough for me in the short term.

I agree that sports are cyclical. BYU football recruiting is currently in a down cycle and that doesn't bode well for the near future. Hopefully they can turn it around. Bytheway, my ideal football season would have an undefeated Ute team win the PAC12 title and a NC and a 1 loss BYU team (loss to Utah) win the Big 12 title game and a BCS bowl.
