What was your point? If you are automatically assuming that people think that there is a lack of academic freedom at BYU because it is an LDS institution, then you have a persecution complex. The reason people have a notion that there is a lack of academic freedom at BYU, is because there have been documented cases. There is valid evidence, and if a person knew nothing of the Mormon faith, its positions, its teachings, etc. they could still come the conclusion that there is a lack of academic freedom there.

I thought I addressed your point quite well, and in a non-confrontation manner. Maybe I didn't and maybe I too have these preconceived notions and I am unconsciously part of the conspiracy to keep BYU and the Mormons down. I am so sorry I will work to change my faulty preconceptions.
