He might not have HC experience
But he has been a part of and has clearly excelled in an elite program. Seriously, look at the coaches he has worked under, I think by now he has developed a great understanding of what it takes to be successful. And although Stanford does not have the same limitations as BYU, I would say it is probably the closest of any elite program in regards to the standard it holds it's athletes to. I think he would be a better recruiter than Bronco for the exact reasons I mentioned above- He knows how to develop talent for the NFL. He was the Recruiting coordinator at Stanford, and has done an amazing job as a first year DC. And I'm sure he would bring in a pro-style/power run offense like we've seen at Stanford. And honestly I think that would fit at BYU much better than an Option-Read offense.

The only home-run hire would be Andy Reid. Bronco certainly wasn't a home-run, and he has yet to make a great or even good hire on his staff. After 10 years we have seen Bronco's ceiling. Aren't you ready for a change?
