I'm very pro breastfeeding and I agree with your general point
but I think a case can be made that breastfeeding is easier than using formula. First everything is self-contained; you don't have to carry around a bottle and formula. You talk about the inconvenience of dropping everything to feed the baby, but it's even worse if you have to put the baby down and go make a bottle. I don't think it's so much that breastfeeding is hard as it's feeding and taking care of babies in general is hard. We should do everything we can to make that easier, so I'm all for breastfeeding in public.
