Once my wife was breastfeeding at a restaurant, and a creepy pervert walked by and stopped to introduce himself. He mentioned that he had followed us from the parking lot because he saw our "For Sale" sign in our car and was interested in buying it. He was in his mid-40s with slightly slurred speech, had a pot belly, porn stache, and was wearing a Hooters T-shirt with matching Hooters hat. He didn't look or talk to me at all, only my wife.

We agreed to meet him in the parking lot after our meal to show him the car. He had parked next to us, and had a functioning TV in the back seat of his car so that he could watch movies in his rear-view mirror. He asked why we were selling, and when we told him that we were in the market for a minivan, he recommended that we talk to his former parole officer, who was now selling used cars at a dealership nearby.

It turned out that after some small talk, he did a complete 180 and told us that he wasn't interested in the car after all.

This guy was creepy, misogynist, you name it, and had done some time for who knows what. There are people like him everywhere, and the experience creeped both of us out enough to the point that from that point forward, my wife never allowed herself to be in a position in public where she wouldn't be covered.

Is it a problem that women's breasts are sexualized to the extent that they are uncomfortable breastfeeding in public? Absolutely. Will there always be perverts or stalkers who may be dangerously aroused by breastfeeding in public? Absolutely.
