and can we not say the "amateur athletes" are not "providing" for their families
by obtaining a scholarship to a university in what will likely be the largest single expense/debt the encounter until they buy a home?

this is especially true with new COA $$$ given to scholarship athletes. i would argue playing on sunday in HS and college is a form of "providing" for these player's families. and of course, at BYU, many of the athletes are married and some have kids.
