You seem to be very upset about this throughout this thread. I have to disagree
with you that the church doesn't have an official policy on Sunday activities. It is that we should keep the Sabbath day holy. That is different than the law of Moses that says you can do this or that on the Sabbath and it is keeping it holy. It is a higher law that allows for flexibility between God and an individual. I have known some people who work very hard to keep the Sabbath day holy and they work a full shift. I know others who don't work on the Sabbath but they don't make it a holy day. The church has provided some guidelines but this is not a black/white issue. This also applies to myself. There are periodic Sundays throughout the year that I have to work but for the most part, am lucky that in general, I don't have to work on Sunday. I can tell you that there have been days that I have had to work that I have made the Sabbath more holy than days that I haven't had to work. In my personal Sabbath worship, it is something I'm still working on.

With that said, the church organization tries very hard to not do anything that interferes with an individuals Sabbath worship as a general rule. Thus, BYU does not play on Sunday. However, I'm sure there are people that work for church leaders on the Sabbath... security detail, chauffeurs, food preparation, medical care, etc. As is pointed out later in this thread, at one end of the spectrum is very essential human services such as healthcare that need to be available on the Sabbath while at the other end, are things such as entertainment that can be done on another day of the week. In between, there is a lot of gray area.
