I was really just wondering if bostonblue was trolling or the reasoning from putting *allegedly. Rape is a very sensitive subject and that just seemed uncalled for, so I wanted to understand the reasoning behind it. And how he thinks it should have been.
Having talked to these 6 women it would be insensitive of me to recount their stories even in the offhand way of saying I know 6 women who were raped, by adding *allegedly*.
Imagine a close friend or relative told you about them being raped. THat's why I said what I said. If you knew of 6 women that are close to you that were raped (allegedly) and know that only 2 of those reported it. Would you have said they were allegedly raped or claimed to be raped? It just feels to me if I were to say it that way that I feel there is a possibility they lied.
Anyways. Thanks for clarifying what you thought I meant.
