2011-12 we had Brandon Davies, Charles Abouo, Noah Hartsock and...
...Craig Cusick, Matt Carlino, Brock Zylstra, Demarcus Harrison, Nick Martineau, etc. That guard line was not very good defensively and super inconsistent offensively with guys like Cusick and Zylstra being totally gun-shy and unable to get their own shots in big games.

The following year we lost Hartsock but Davies was an absolute stud in the paint and we brought back Cusick, Carlino, Zylstra and added Delgado and Calvert to the mix. In both seasons we had Anson Winder but he was not very good at this point in his career and didn't start to blossom as a player until the following season. 2012-13 did have Tyler Haws who was a stud his first year back from his mission but he alone was not enough to over come the lack of talent with the other guards.

The 2013-14 season started to see things shift the other way. Mika was a great freshman but as a first year player was not the player Davies or Hartsock had been (he will be once he gains some experience). After him we had bigs like Nate Austin (doesn't do much other than take a few charges and do a little rebounding), Josh Sharp (looked good dunking at Boom-shakalaka), Luke Worthington, Ian Harward, etc. The guard line had improved considerably with KC, Skyler Halford and Winder along with Haws, much better depth than previously.
