I'm not basing this on personal experience at BYU. I'm basing it off of general
facts of factors that contribute to an increase in sexual assault occurrences. So let's say that now EVERYONE at BYU reports sexual assault. I think those numbers would still be lower than the underreported numbers of most universities. I get 1-2 emails every week at my school in the B1G about a sexual assault or rape on campus. And in general, the three most common circumstances of these cases are the following:

1. They happen in the middle of the night
2. They involve drugs/alcohol
3. They happen at sorority and fraternity houses

BYU, through the Honor Code, severely limits opportunities for things like this to happen. Obviously, people break the HC, but it serves as a buffer that certainly decreases the overall incidence of sexual assault and rape.
