Guess what we have a strong label on par with the P5. We shouldnt throw it away. Like any p5 program we are in a positio
for good things should the stars align. Boise for all their effort isn't in the same position. It would be silly to sink to that level. Here are just 2 examples that prove indy was and is the right choice. Lets not throw the baby out with the bathwater because we are struggling this season. Rather lets accept we are a middle of the road P5 team with aspirations to make the occasional special run (a run that actually means something rather than beating New Mexico or Wyoming)
"It was Nebraska's first home loss to a team not in a Power 5 conference or not a major independent since Southern Mississippi won in Lincoln in 2004."
"The SEC and ACC are the only Power 5 leagues that require their league members to play at least one nonconference Power 5 opponent. In January, the ACC changed its stance to allow games against BYU to count toward its requirement. However, games against Army will not count toward the ACC's requirement, a source said."
