For every passing reference to us as a P5-caliber school, there is a passing
reference to us as a G5.
The bottom line is: we have more clout than the average G5 school because we have a richer history and larger fan base than the average G5 school, not because we are a P5.
And we obtained our rich history and large fan base as a G5 (or equivalent non-member of the cool kids club). To think that we could not continue to do so in the AAC is to completely ignore our history as an institution.
