The third point includes comparison.

First of all, if someone wants the whole world to be worse off so that they fare better in comparison then screw them. Second off, the third point actually allows them to eventually fare better. Finally, there is no system that allows them to do better in comparison. You still have comparison issues in socialism and people weren't happier in soviet Russia even though they compared the same.
