LOL. No it isn't. You're completely missing the point.

The point is that our economic system is a good one because it provides better for our poor and, more imporantly and what you completely miss, is that most of our poor don't stay poor due to our system. For that reason, comparing our poor in our system to those around the world in different systems is absolutely appropriate.
