It says are you 'bringing' any fruit. It's easy to assume that it means if you
Brought it from the country of origin, not necessarily something you got on a plane. Seems like a very reasonable mistake. Everyone is overreacting here.

they aren't asking if you are bringing in fruit from a foreign country - the form asks if you have any fruit on you. If
