Serious question: Right now who is more attractive to be invited to a P5 league, BYU or UCF?
Indy in and of itself isn't the problem, but it is the leading cause of the problems (i.e. schedule, recruiting). I truly don't believe we would get worse recruits if we dropped to a G5 league. Maybe we miss out on one or two players because of it, but if BYU goes on a Boise type run over the upcoming 3-5 years then WE become extremely attractive to a P5.
Winning solves everything, and our players just don't match up with P5 players. Our boys can compete and win against G5 teams. Winning brings back the casual fans, which fills the stadium, which creates the atmosphere we need to bring sustained success.
Indy (schedules) does nothing but bring in fan apathy after the first 4 games. Stadium attendance dwindles and nobody cares nationally.
