Your point has one falacy. BYU has decades of G5 "conference success".

Didn't help last time; I'm all for creating our own success with increased money.

Independence has been years in the making. I don't understand the desire to jettison Indy now that we have paid our dues and have great schedules lined up for the forseeable future.
