They are almost more annoying than the drunk fans. I do think it is a very small percentage of the fan base, but I agree that it does exist and they are vocal. I don't understand it either. It's like they use the Utah/BYU game as a way to spew the hate because they can't do it anywhere else that easily without looking like a bigot.

I have seen those type of fans on other road games as well...not just at Utah, and very ironically, I have heard from other Utah fans that they have also experienced it on the road in the Pac-12. I remember the last time I went to Arizona when BYU played there in 2006, I got there early and the student section section was filling in and they started a "F#$% the Mormons" chant that we could hear clear across the stadium in the visitor's section. It didn't last too long, but long enough we all knew what they were saying and doing. At least several Arizona fans around us apologized because they felt bad.
