You (or someone else) said that these only exist because Utah fans are trying hard to show that BYU fans are ill behaved. The irony there is that this proves that, even if you are right and Utah fans have such a motive, BYU fans have a similar motive. This thread is therefore ironic, even if every single word spoken in this thread is true.

And it doesn’t change the fact that if Utah fans were such a universally (or even predominantly) loathsome group as they have been portrayed in this thread then there would be some similar documentary evidence of such behavior. Many have pushed the idea that such fans are WAY more common in the Utah side, so then where is any evidence? Where are the videos of huge numbers of Utah fans collectively pelting refs with trash? Where are the videos of drunken reprobates leaping from the stands to tackle cheerleaders?

The point isn’t to deny that it doesn’t happen. The point isn’t to say that all the people posting here are liars. The point also isn’t to argue that it’s some huge problem that infects the entire BYU fan base, or even a significant portion of it. The point, established by the existence of documentary proof on the other side, is simply that if the Utah fan base were as rage-filled and horrible as portrayed here then there would be something more substantial out there showing the behavior.
